Pleasant Garden is a town of 5,000 people (2020) south of Greensboro, west of Forest Oaks and north of Climax, covering about 15.4 square miles. Climax and Randleman lie further south, and some homes here are closer to Randolph County than to downtown Greensboro.

Pleasant Garden was first settled in 1786 and was known as a business district by that name by 1876. It incorporated in 1997 from Fentress Township.
